Ella Langley, Madeline Edwards, Kacey Musgraves and Stephen Wilson Jr. are among the country artists featured on the newly revealed tracklist for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album). MCA Records and Lionsgate announced the full 29-track collection November 2, ahead of its November 13 release.
Executive-produced by Dave Cobb, the album brings country and roots performers together with artists from across alternative music and pop. The accompanying film opens in theaters November 20.
Country voices join a cross-genre collection
Edwards contributes “Wrestle with God,” while Carter Faith, Kashus Culpepper and Tyler Childers also appear on the collection. Other featured performers include Noah Cyrus, Violet Grohl, McKenna Grace, Whitney Peak, Noah Kahan, The Cure and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The full-tracklist announcement expands the picture of the soundtrack beyond its previously announced individual songs. The selection places contemporary country performers alongside established rock acts and artists connected to the film.
Album arrives a week before the film
Sunrise on the Reaping reaches listeners November 13 through MCA, giving fans a week with the music before the film’s November 20 theatrical opening. Album links are available through the official soundtrack release page.
