Country artist Danni Leigh chatted about her latest album “Walkin’ On a Wire” and she revealed her dream duet choices in music.

On the song selection process for her new album, she said, “I had been performing live and chose the tunes that the crowds seem to enjoy and react to the most. Meanwhile, throwing in one or two of my own personal favs!”

She listed “Steel Rails” & “Pain Of Surrender” as her personal favorite song on this album. “Those glorious horns,” she exclaimed. “I’ll be honest, I’m kinda fond of all of the songs, obviously.”

Regarding her music and songwriting inspirations, she said, “Typically, my personal experiences, relationships, and life, is what I draw from.”

On being an artist in the digital age, she said, “It feels very different. Not sure of the outcome yet, still too early to tell. I’m learning as I go! I can say, there’s not very much excitement around a release anymore. I do miss that! Oh God, wait! Maybe that’s just my release.”

She listed the late but great Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, and Raul Malo, as her dream duet choices in music due to their integrity, creativity, and talent.

Regarding her definition of success, she said, “To have people that still want to hear the music I make, is absolutely amazing! And, to be able to still have a music career, that’s huge.”

For her fans, Leigh hopes they get pleasure, enjoyment, and inspiration from her album. “Anything but anger,” she said.

“Walkin’ On A Wire” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. “This is the first time, I made most, if not all, the choices/decisions on a collection of songs that I released. I’m thankful my friends at Audium allowed me those freedoms,” she said.
