Stephen Wilson Jr. has released two new songs, “yellow brick home” and “Exorcisms on the Weekend.” The double single arrived October 16 as the Indiana-born singer-songwriter continues his Gary The Torch Tour.
The songs offer contrasting characters and perspectives. Wilson describes “yellow brick home” as an embrace of familiar uncertainty over the pursuit of conventional wealth. “Exorcisms on the Weekend” centers on a misunderstood small-town figure whose approach to helping others challenges the expectations around her.
New music during a busy CMA season
The release follows Wilson’s four nominations at the 60th annual CMA Awards: Male Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Song and Music Video of the Year for “Gary.” Wilson wrote “Gary” himself and co-directed its video with Tim Cofield.
The new pair continues a run of releases that includes “Cørnerman,” the Miranda Lambert collaboration “Hardwired,” “Gary (Live From CMA Fest 2026)” and “Preacher’s Kid.” Together, those releases expand the material surrounding his debut double album, søn of dad.
Tour dates include a Florida festival stop
Wilson’s fall schedule takes him through Ireland, the United Kingdom and continental Europe before returning to the United States. The announced itinerary includes St. Pete Country Fest in St. Petersburg, Florida, during the November 20–22 festival weekend.
The Gary The Torch Tour is scheduled to conclude with two Nashville shows at The Truth on December 11 and 12. The October 16 release lists both as sold out.
