Midland has released the official video for “Shooting Memories With Tequila,” bringing a road-worn view of the trio’s live show to a track from Stages.
The October 16 announcement also reports that the song has reached No. 8 on the American Country Music Chart. The Texas-focused chart tracks a different market from Billboard’s national country charts.
A video built around Midland on the road
The new clip combines concert footage with scenes from the band’s touring life. It provides a performance-centered setting for a song built around the group’s harmonies, fiddle, steel guitar and two-step rhythm.
“Shooting Memories With Tequila” appears on Stages, released through Blue Highway Records. The video gives listeners a fresh entry point into that album while the band continues its North American dates.
Tampa appearance scheduled for October 17
For Florida readers, the immediate date is October 17 at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park in Tampa. That appearance follows the October 16 Auburn, Alabama, show listed on Midland’s current itinerary.
The release also lists a limited co-headlining run with Clint Black, including October stops in Lynchburg, Durham and Glen Allen. The Tampa appearance is listed separately and is not marked as one of the Clint Black co-headlining dates.
Later announced concerts take the trio to Texas, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut before a New Year’s Eve show at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.
