Offering a lived-in portrait of the kind of love that reshapes your whole existence, Big Machine Records singer-songwriter Chase McDaniel today (10/2) releases the official music video for “Die Trying.” Notably the first song penned for his brand-new autobiographical debut album, Lost Ones, watch the Robby Stevens-directed clip – featuring his real-life dog Letto – above. Co-written by McDaniel with Seth Ennis and Lindsay Rimes (also the song’s producer), the slow-burning powerhouse fully embodies the full-length project’s cathartic storytelling and high-octane Country-Rock. After opening on a bit of bracing confession from McDaniel (“Always kinda thought I’d be meeting God with a 27 Club kinda story / I was living fast like a train off the tracks / Heading straight into a blaze of glory”), the track turns wildly romantic at its heart-stopping chorus (“I just wanna live forever / So, I’ll never have to tell you goodbye / A couple million years together / Spend ‘em all getting lost in your eyes / You and me for eternity / If there’s a way, then baby I’ll find it / I’m gonna love ya ‘til the end of time, yeah / Or I’m gonna die trying”). A perfect showcase for his captivating baritone, “Die Trying” reaches a glorious crescendo at the bridge, fueled by an epic guitar solo that’s nothing short of sublime. Listen here. Just named to a list of “Rising Country Stars To Know Now” by GRAMMY.com, McDaniel is receiving overwhelming press support for Lost Ones by the likes of Entertainment Tonight, Billboard, PEOPLE, American Songwriter, Muscle & Fitness, Stereogum (Albums of Note), MusicRow, Country Aircheck, Taste of Country, Country Now, Country Central, Entertainment Focus, All Country News, and more. Stacking special appearances on Apple Music’s The Ward Guenther Show and RFD-TV’s Market Day Music, he’s likewise captured the attention of Country music organizations including ACM (Academy of Country Music) Lifting Lives and Country Music Association. |
