With a presence at galleries and music festivals around the world, each exhibit features original artworks from musicians and those in the music community that showcases their creativity in a whole new light.

As the collective gets ready to kick off a busy 2025 season, it will begin with a very special exhibition, entitled, “Strength: A Celebration of Art Queens,” held at the newly-opened Eye for Sound Gallery in Los Angeles, owned by Serj Tankian (System of A Down). The exhibition will feature the works of celebrated artists including Lzzy Hale, Chloe Trujillo, Lori Herbst, Natalia Fabia, photographer Lisa Johnson and the incredible wives and daughters of respected musicians, some as young as five-years-old, showing that creativity truly does run in the family. Says Lzzy Hale, “I paint in the same way I write music. With no idea where I’m starting or how it will end.  No past, no future. Sitting with my feelings and thoughts in the present moment. Armed only a belief and trust in myself that I will know when it is right.”

Chloe Trujillo adds, “Art is my ritual, through art I feel free and safe to fully express myself, translating symbols, channeling words from unseen realms, each encoded with sacred meanings. Being part of this amazing group of fellow female artists is an honor, let’s make an impact and celebrate! ‘Strength’ speaks in every stroke.”

Serj Tankian shares, “I’m so glad we’re hosting these amazing artists at our very own Eye For Sound Gallery. Working with Emily and her team at Punk Rock & Paintbrushes has been a pleasure and we’re excited about showcasing this exhibition in our space.”

And Punk Rock & Paintbrushes founder Emily Nielsen says, “We are looking forward to celebrating the art and creativity of not only the women of Punk Rock & Paintbrushes but the daughters of some of our wonderful artists as well. It is so inspiring to see the creativity run in these families and for the artists to show their children that they can be successful with their art, music or any creative field that interests them. This will be our first exhibit of 2025 and it will certainly be a beautiful celebration in Los Angeles.”

The opening night festivities will run from 6-9 p.m. but the exhibition will remain open until June 3.
